With my own recent move to California, this teaching has weighed heavy on my heart. May it bless and encourage you to press in for visitations that radically change your cities and nations!

So many Christians in America . . . yet so few cities that have been truly transformed for Jesus Christ. Why does this paradox pervade our society? We passionately cry out for nations to be saved in a day, yet our local spheres of influence remain largely unchanged year after year.

How can we press in to see our cities transformed? To become a history shaker, each of us personally needs a radical visitation with the King of Glory. He will ruin you and awaken your birthright. The Bible essentially is an anthology of a covenantal, loving God continually pursuing His Bride. These life-changing and powerful testimonies reveal how one person's visitation with God can change the course of human history.

우리의 도시들이 변화되는 것을 보기 위해서 우리는 어떻게 싸워 나갈 수 있을까요? 역사를 뒤흔드는 주인공이 되기 위해서는 우리들 각자에게 영광의 왕 되신 하나님과의 생생한 개인적 만남이 필요합니다. 그분은 당신을 망가뜨려 놓으실 것이며 당신의 생득 권을 일깨워주실 것입니다. 근본적으로 성경은 언약을 체결하시는 사랑의 하나님이 지속적으로 자신의 신부를 찾아다니시는 인류학 책입니다. 그 속에 기록된, 삶을 변화시키는 강력한 간증들은 한 사람이 하나님을 만난 사건이 어떻게 인류 역사의 방향을 바꿔놓을 수 있는지 계시해 줍니다.

Revival Starts with You

부흥은 당신으로부터 시작된다

Beloved, close your eyes and imagine what your God is capable of doing. Envision the God of the universe creating cities. Can't He transform them as well?

사랑하는 여러분, 눈을 감고 당신의 하나님이 하실 수 있는 것이 무엇인지 상상해 보세요. 우주의 하나님이 도시들을 창조하고 계신 장면을 그려 보세요. 바로 그 분이 그 도시들을 변화시킬 수도 있지 않으시겠어요?

To shake the nations for God, you must first let God shake you. If we simply study the Scriptures and treat the Bible as the Word of God, there is a common thread woven throughout all the history-makers of the Bible: Visitations precede city transformation.

하나님을 위해 열방을 뒤흔들기 위해서는 먼저 하나님이 당신을 뒤흔들어 놓으시게 해야 합니다. 우리가 성경을 연구하면서 성경을 하나님의 말씀으로 대한다면, 성경의 모든 역사 변혁자들을 꿰뚫는 공통된 맥락이 있습니다. 그것은 하나님의 방문하심(하나님과의 만남)이 도시변화에 선행한다는 것입니다.

When we hear about radical visitations, we may think, "That's awesome for Moses, the Apostle Paul, or Benny Hinn, but that would never happen to little old me." But, Beloved, perhaps the reverse is true! What if it was their personal visitations that caused these heroes of faith to walk out their incredible destinies?

Maybe you have never dared to believe that God wants to meet with you. Throughout history, God uses weak, broken vessels whose very fragility is the perfect conduit for His glory and power. God does not wait until we have "arrived" in our destiny to encounter us -- visitations are a key part of commissioning.

The Bible: Guidebook or History Book?

Seventy percent of the Bible consists of radical visitations, trances, dreams, visions, signs and wonders, angelic encounters, and other supernatural accounts! We need to go back to the Bible. If God is not a respecter of persons, could it be that God might want to radically meet with you?

성경의 70%는 생생한 방문하심과 입신, 꿈, 환상, 기적과 이사들, 천사의 방문, 그리고 다른 초자연적 사건들로 이루어져 있습니다! 우리는 성경으로 돌아가야 합니다. 하나님이 사람을 차별하지 않으신다면 하나님께서 당신도 생생하게 만나고 싶어하지 않으시겠어요?

In order to build your faith for your own personal visitation, we will first expose many modern day myths and then visit many of our forefathers' encounters. This will lay a biblical foundation for you to press in and contend for your own visitation.

자신만의 개인적인 하나님과의 만남에 대한 믿음을 확고히 세우기 위해서는 먼저 현대의 많은 신화들을 폭로한 다음 우리 조상들이 하나님을 만난 수많은 사건들을 살펴보아야 합니다. 그렇게 할 때 당신이 개인적인 하나님과의 만남을 위해 힘써 싸우는 데 필요한 성경적인 기초가 세워질 것입니다.

Unbelief of the Western Mind set

The Western Church is barren because of logic and intellectualism. We know the Word of God but lack the experience of the Holy Spirit.

서구의 교회는 논리와 지성주의로 인해 열매를 맺지 못하고 있습니다. 우리는 하나님의 말씀을 알지만 성령의 체험은 결여되어 있습니다.

Therefore, church is little more than a routine social club without mass salvations, deliverances, and suffering humanity being touched by God. We claim to believe that the Word of God is true, yet somehow we ignore the fact that God has commissioned us to walk in greater works than He did. Miracles are not an option, but rather a trademark of basic Christianity 101. But why is there such a resistance and fear of the supernatural?

그러므로 교회는 대량 구원이나 축사, 고통 받는 인간이 하나님의 손길을 경험하는 등의 사건이 없는 사교 클럽으로 전락한 상태입니다. 우리는 하나님의 말씀이 사실임을 믿는다고 주장하지만, 어떤 식으로든, 하나님께서 우리에게 그분이 행하신 것보다 더 큰 역사 가운데 행하라고 위임하시고 명령하셨다는 사실은 무시해 버립니다. 기적은 선택이 아니라 기본적인 기독교의 등록상표입니다. 그런데 왜 그렇게 초자연적인 것들에 대한 저항과 두려움이 존재하는 것일까요?

Fear of Deception

속을까 두려워함

Satan is unable to create anything new, so he simply counterfeits the authentic. His first line of defense is to make us afraid of the supernatural. When we believe this, he has won! One of the lies he feeds us is that if you move in the supernatural realm, you will slip into deception. However, what this is really implying is that God isn't able to protect us through the Holy Spirit. We are more afraid of satan deceiving us than we are desperate to experience God!

If God was able to keep us before we even knew Him, how much more is your Father in Heaven able to lead you into all truth with His Word as the glorious boundary line?

우리가 알기도 전에 하나님이 우리를 지키실 수 있다면, 하늘에 계신 당신의 아버지께서 훨씬 더 놀라운 방법으로 그의 말씀을 영광스런 경계선으로 사용하셔서 당신을 모든 진리 가운데로 인도하실 수 있지 않으시겠습니까?

Two Governments Chasing After the Souls of Men

사람의 영혼을 쫓는 두 개의 왕국

Unfortunately, because the church has not fulfilled its basic job assignment for God's kingdom to come on earth as it is in heaven, the world looks for the supernatural in other places. Like starving souls in the desert, people are so thirsty for the supernatural that they will hunt for it wherever they can. When they cannot find it in the church, they will find it in the world. Instead of finding the refreshing living waters of the supernatural, they have had to settle on merely drinking the sand of the New Age ideas.

불행하게도 교회가 하나님의 나라가 하늘에서와 같이 땅에도 임하게 하라는 기본적인 임무를 달성하지 못했기 때문에 세상이 지금 다른 곳에서 초자연적인 것들을 찾고 있습니다. 사막에서 굶어 죽어가는 영혼들처럼 사람들은 초자연적인 것들에 너무나 갈급한 나머지 장소를 막론하고 그것을 찾아 헤매고 있습니다. 그것을 교회에서 찾지 못할 때 그들은 세상에서 찾을 것입니다. 초자연적인 것들의 신선한 생수를 찾지 못하고 그들은 단순히 뉴 에이지적 사상의 모래를 마시는 것으로 만족해야 했습니다.

Unbelief Breeds Fear . . . Fear Robs Faith

불신은 두려움을 낳고... 두려움은 믿음을 빼앗는다

The best means to discern the counterfeit is to study and memorize the real thing. The Holy Spirit brings government, which utterly destroys the enemy's work. We need to have a fresh Pentecost in our lives to be empowered by the Holy Spirit like Acts 2. Then, we will be able to move in genuine apostolic authority with a breaker anointing, rather than wondering if we'll be deceived by the New Age.

가짜를 분별하는 가장 좋은 방법은 진짜를 연구하여 기억하는 것입니다. 성령님은 원수의 역사를 완전히 무너뜨리는 통치권을 가져오십니다. 우리는 사도행전 2장처럼 성령의 능력을 덧입는 신선한 오순절을 우리의 삶속에서 경험해야 합니다. 그때 우리는 뉴 에이지에 속지 않을까 염려하는 것이 아니라 부서뜨리는 기름부음을 가진 참된 사도적 권위 안에서 움직일 수 있게 될 것입니다.

Let's look at some biblical examples of revolutionists who did great exploits for God and their supernatural visitations.

성경에서 하나님을 위해 놀라운 위업을 달성했던 몇몇 변혁가들의 실례와 그들이 경험한 초자연적인 하나님의 방문하심을 살펴보도록 합시다.

1) The Father of our Faith: Abraham

   우리 믿음의 조상: 아브라함

God first appeared to Abram while he was worshipping pagan gods. This divine call was based on God's grace, not Abram's faithfulness. Visitations are not dependent on our track records. The sovereignty of God suddenly interrupted Abram's life as the Lord promised that He would make him a mighty nation.

하나님은 아브라함이 이방신을 숭배하고 있을 때 처음 그에게 나타나셨습니다. 그런 하나님의 부르심은 아브라함의 신실함이 아니라 하나님의 은혜에 기초한 것이었습니다. 하나님의 방문하심은 우리의 실적에 달려 있는 것이 아닙니다. 하나님은 주권적으로 아브라함의 삶에 갑자기 개입해 들어오셔서 그를 강대한 나라로 만들어 주겠다고 약속하셨습니다.

2) Jacob

   야곱

Let's look at Abraham's grandson, Jacob the deceiver, as he fled for his life. We assume that one as manipulative as Jacob would not deserve a visitation. Again, our righteousness is not what qualifies us for visitations -- it is our hunger that God cannot resist.

아브라함의 손자로, 목숨을 부지하기 위해 도망쳤던 속이는 자 야곱을 살펴봅시다. 우리는 야곱처럼 교묘한 자는 하나님의 방문하심을 받을 자격이 없다고 가정합니다. 다시 말하건대, 우리의 의가 우리에게 하나님의 방문하심에 대한 자격을 부여하는 것이 아닙니다. 우리에게 자격을 부여하는 것은 하나님도 감당하실 수 없는 우리의 배고픔(열망)입니다.

In Genesis 28:12, Jacob suddenly sees a ladder with angels ascending and descending. The Lord reestablishes the Abrahamic Covenant, promising Jacob that his descendants would be as numerous as the dust of the earth. Beloved, you cannot let your past disqualify you from pressing in for an encounter. Encounters produce faith; faith is then what propels us to fulfill the impossible tasks that God is asking of us.

창세기 28:12에서 야곱은 갑자기 천사들이 오르락 내리락 하고 있는 사다리를 보게 됩니다. 주님은 야곱에게 그의 자손들이 땅의 모래와 같이 많을 것이라고 약속하시면서 아브라함과 맺은 언약을 다시 확고히 세우십니다. 사랑하는 이여, 당신의 과거로 인해 하나님과의 만남을 위해 전진하기를 멈출 수 없습니다. 하나님과의 만남은 믿음을 낳고, 믿음은 다시 하나님이 우리에게 요구하고 계시는 불가능한 임무를 성취할 추진력을 우리에게 제공합니다.

3) Isaiah: Commissioned by Fiery Coals

   이사야: 숯불로 위임명령을 받음

Would you like to have seraphim fire brand you with a coal to be commissioned as a prophet to the nations? Isaiah experienced this! Why not you? Visitations are more than radical joyrides in the Spirit; encounters will alter your DNA, download you with fresh blueprint plans, and ruin you for anything less.

열방의 선지자로 위임받기 위해 스랍들이 불타는 숯으로 당신을 인쳐 주기를 원하십니까? 이사야가 그것을 경험했습니다! 당신이라고 안 된다는 법이 어딨습니까? 하나님과의 만남은 단순히 성령 안에서 하는 과격하고 무모한 행동이 아닙니다. 하나님과의 만남은 당신의 DNA를 바꿔놓을 것이며 신선한 청사진과 같은 계획들을 내려 받게 해줄 것입니다. 그리고 당신은 그보다 못한 것에는 결코 만족하지 못할 정도로 망가질 것입니다.

A modern day Isaiah 6 happened to a pastor I know who had a radical visitation. She saw an altar with a Man standing behind it with a knife in His hand. He told her to get on the altar.

현대판 이사야 6장이 내가 아는 한 목사님께 일어났는데, 그분은 하나님의 생생한 방문하심을 경험했습니다. 그 여자 목사님은 제단을 보았는데 그 뒤에는 한 사람이 손에 칼을 들고 서 있었습니다. 그분은 그 여자 목사님에게 제단으로 올라오라고 말씀했습니다.

She started screaming, "No! No! No!" Finally, when she said "yes" and willingly climbed on the altar, wings closed around her, and a hot coal of fire was put on her mouth. Suddenly, she was traveling in the Spirit, flying to the nations where the Lord revealed cities and individuals she would meet in the future.

He said, "I have called you to be a prophetess, an oracle and a voice!" This visitation was an ordination of the prophetic for her, as the Lord did a divine download. (For more examples of visitations, listen to the Visitations Volume I CD Set.)

Visitations: More Than Our Inheritance . . . It's Our Prophetic Destiny!

하나님의 방문하심: 우리의 기업을 넘어... 우리의 예언적인 부르심이다!

I have been a cheerleader of the Manifest Presence of the Holy Spirit for decades. In 1987, I had a 21-day visitation where I met with the Lord from 3 in the afternoon until 7 in the morning. Through intense times of intercession and hearing His heart for nations, God met with me throughout each night.

나는 수십 년 동안 성령의 분명한 임재를 전하는 치어리더였습니다. 1987년에 나에게는 21일간 하나님의 방문하심이 있었는데, 그때 나는 오후 3시부터 다음 날 아침 7시까지 주님과의 만남을 가졌습니다. 열방을 향한 주님의 마음을 듣고 간절히 중보하는 시간들 내내 하나님은 매일 밤마다 나를 만나 주셨습니다.

During these open heaven experiences, He taught me many mysteries of how to move with the Holy Spirit, the different kinds of fires and anointings, and how to open up the heavens. These visitations transformed my ministry from just praying for individuals to a corporate anointing where pools of glory and radical encounters with Jesus pervade my meetings. What you touch in heaven, you can bring down to earth.

The Challenge: Contending for Your Own Visitation

도전: 하나님의 개인적인 방문하심을 위해 힘써 싸우라

How do we attract the presence of God? Holiness, humility, and hunger are proven unmistaken, prime attractors of the Holy Spirit. When the 3 H's are present in you, we become irresistible to Him.

하나님의 임재를 어떻게 끌어옵니까? 거룩함과 겸손과 갈급함은 성령님을 끌어오는 검증되고 틀림없는 최고의 요소들입니다. 그 3가지가 우리 안에 있을 때 그분은 우리의 부르짖음을 견디지 못하십니다.

We have to be desperate for God to the point of devastation to have more of Him. What lengths do we go to have more of God? Why not contend for your own personal visitation? Here is the key: As much as you want to meet with God, He passionately desires to encounter you. Why not you? Wherever your feet hit the ground, God wants you to invade your sphere of influence. From schools to the grocery store to your neighborhoods, God wants to ruin your cities -- one life at a time.

우리는 더욱 더 하나님으로 채워지기 위해 삶이 완전히 황폐케 될 만큼 절박한 심정으로 하나님을 찾아야 합니다. 하나님의 더 많은 것들을 얻기 위해 어느 정도까지 가고 있습니까? 하나님의 개인적인 방문하심을 받기 위해 힘써 싸우지 않으시겠습니까? 여기에 열쇠가 있습니다: 당신이 하나님과의 만남을 원하는 만큼 그분도 열정적으로 당신을 만나기 원하십니다. 당신이라고 안 될 이유가 무엇입니까? 하나님은 당신의 발길이 닿는 곳마다 당신의 영향이 미치는 범위가 되기를 원하십니다. 학교에서 식료품 가게와 이웃에 이르기까지 하나님은 당신의 도시를 망가뜨리기 원하십니다 -- 한 번에 한 사람씩.
